Karol Hernández nació y creció en Colombia. Vive en el Sur de la Florida con su esposo,sus tres hijos y dos perros. Karol es una galardonada mercadotécnica, ejerce la astronomía en el patio desu casa y es fotógrafa aficionada. Este es su primer libro infantil.

Lorena Alvarez Gómez es la autorae ilustradora de Luces nocturnas e Hicotea, y también ha hecho ilustraciones para publicaciones independientes, anuncios publicitarios y revistasde moda. Lorena trabaja desde su estudio, en sucasa, en Bogotá, Colombia, acompañada de música y seres queridos. Le encanta pintar, cuidar a su perroy leer historietas.

She is the author and illustrator of Nightlights and Hicotea and she has also made illustrations for independent publications, advertising and fashion magazines. Lorena works from her home studio in Bogotá, Colombia, surrounded by music and loved ones. She loves to paint, take care of her dog and read comic books.
