Valorie Fisher

Valorie Fisher is the award-winning creator of many picture books, including Look and Cook Snacks, Now You Know How it Works, Now You Know What You Eat, Everything I Need to Know Before I'm Five, I Can Do It Myself, How High Can a Dinosaur Count?, Ellsworth’s Extraordinary Electric Ears, My Big Brother, and My Big Sister.  She is the illustrator of The Fantastic 5&10¢ Store by J. Patrick Lewis, and Nonsense! by Edward Lear. She is the photographer for the beloved Moxy Maxwell books by Peggy Gifford. Valorie’s photographs can be seen in the collections of major museums around the world, including the Brooklyn Museum, London’s Victoria and Albert Museum, and the Bibliotheque Nationale in Paris. Valorie lives in Cornwall, Connecticut with her husband, three cats, and her colossal collection of terrific tiny toys.
