Dirk Gently, created by Douglas Adams and shortly to be the star of his own television series from BBC America, returns to comics in The Salmon of Doubt, brought to you by executive producers of the show Arvind Ethan David and Max Landis.

Plagued by nightmares about a childhood he never had, Dirk returns to Cambridge University to seek the advice of his former tutor, the time-traveling Professor Reg Chronotis. There he discovers that a holistic detective can have more than one past, and his adventures have only just begun...

Featuring favorite characters from the original books as well as the cast from the TV series, including Samuel Barnett and Elijah Wood.
"Never has there been a more seamless merging of a TV show and a title that was being published before the show started airing. Dirk doesn’t look like Samuel Barnett, who plays Dirk on the show, but rather than start over and discard past issues altogether, Salmon of Doubt incorporates comics Dirk and his assistant, Sally with TV Dirk and his assistant, Todd (played on the show by Elijah Wood)." –The Geeked Gods
Arvind Ethan David, is a Malaysian-born British film producer, graduate of Oxford Univeristy, and the founder of Slingshot Productions. He is best known for producing David Baddiel’s The Infidel in 2010. Other feature films he has produced include Tormented starring Alex Pettyfer and French Film starring Hugh Bonneville and Manchester United football legend Eric Cantona. French Film won Best Actor for Bonneville and Best Screenplay for Aschlin Ditta at the 2008 Monte Carlo Film Festival. David also won Best Adaptation at the 2007 LA Weekly Theater Awards for Dirk, based on Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency by Douglas Adams.
