Peter is a professional artist and writer, he currently runs his own company and spends his time illustrating, writing, and lecturing. Fluid in Swedish and English, Peter has written three young adult novels in Swedish for a major publisher (Bokförlaget Semic), two American English, graphic novels (for Image Comics and Dark Horse Comics) as well as numerous short stories, reviews and editorials in both Swedish and English. Peter is published in the US, Sweden, Norway, Spain, France, Germany, Denmark, and Italy.
His illustrations and art can be found all over the world, for clients like SAAB Defence and Security, the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration, Kamratposten, Kulturhuset, Coca Cola, Samsung, and Swedish Television. He has provided art and covers for authors such as J.R.R Tolkien, J.K. Rowling, Jens Lapidus, and Astrid Lindgren to name but a few. In total, he has been featured in over 500 books and other publications, providing covers, text, and interior art in a variety of styles. In addition, he has illustrated 150+ covers.
Speaking engagements include panels, keynotes and lectures for universities, schools, and libraries.
Peter is the recipient of many awards and major grants, including the 2012 award for the Dalsland Literary Scholarship, the Åmåls Kommun Cultural Scholarship in 2007 and several grants from The Swedish Arts Grants Committee.
Peter has studied art at the Gerlesborg School of Art, and Film at the University of Karlstad.
With over 24 years in the business, Peter has worked his entire professional life as an illustrator, designer and entrepreneur. He started his first company when he was 20, co-founded the web company Houdini in 1999, and his current company, Bergting Arts, in 2003.
He enjoys creating worlds and fantastic stories and continues to focus on his own properties. In collaboration with other writers, Peter is the co-author of more than 35 novels and graphic novels. Publishers include Image Comics, IDW, Dupuis, Bonnier Carlsen and Forma Publishing Group. High profile properties include Crysis, Frank Frazetta, Dungeons & Dragons, and H.P. Lovecraft.
He lives in a tiny town in Sweden with his wife, two daughters and three really strange cats. The author lives in Sweden.
