A comforting ode to the gentle potency of quiet, this lyrical picture book will captivate introverts and nature lovers alike.

Quiet is strength. It’s as strong as a monarch in migration. As important as a whisper and a promise. As deep as a listener, still . . . and sincere.

This evocative text combines with warmly glowing images of people enjoying a day at the park, spending peaceful moments together and alone, experiencing the nourishment of quiet. It’s a reminder that you don’t have to be loud to make a positive impact on others, and that when you are still, you’re more able to experience the magnificence of the world around you.

Quiet is powerful like you.
“The sentiments are heartfelt. Lovely, soft illustrations. ”—Kirkus

“Hess reassures readers that there is value in hush and tranquility...reminding readers that quiet has a power and strength all its own. ”—Publishers Weekly
