When Ned finally realizes there’s only one way to lose weight for good, his whole family is glad to help—except Grandma. Grandma loves to cook for Ned and is hurt when he rejects her treats. Smith is the recipient of the New York Library Association Knickerbocker Award for Juvenile Literature for his body of work.
