Jennifer Childs is the Director of Library Marketing at Random House, Inc. She has been with company for over 10 years and in that time has worked with many amazing authors and read numerous bestsellers…before they were bestsellers. She loves being able to share new writers and her favorite books with other readers and can’t think of a more perfect group of people to book chat with than librarians. Talk about a dream job for a former English Major, this is it–a 9 to 5 daily book club! The mother of a very active 5-year-old and twin almost-toddlers, she is often caught reading books about Healthy Sleep Habits and Positive Discipline. When she does find an elusive moment to read for pleasure, it is usually a Regency Romance, Historical Fiction, a Young Adult Post-Apocalyptic novel, or upon occasion, a well-crafted memoir.
Elizabeth Fabian is thrilled to have recently rejoined the Random House Library Marketing Department as Associate Director. Prior to this new role, Elizabeth was Associate Director of Advertising for The Random House Publishing Group, executing campaigns for bestselling authors including Lee Child, Sophie Kinsella, and Jonathan Kellerman. Previously she has worked with the marketing departments at Harcourt Trade Publishers and Hachette Book Group. In 2006 Elizabeth received her MA in Literature from the University of Virginia.
Erica Melnichok is a Library Marketing Manager at Random House, Inc. It was her love for children’s & YA literature that drew her to a career in publishing. Her nine years of library marketing experience & passion for libraries led to her MLS degree in 2010! Her early years spent reading L.M. Montgomery, Laura Ingalls Wilder, & Cynthia Voight evolved into a love of all things Jane Austen, historical fiction, and strong heroines worth rooting for in any number of genres. “As a teenager leaving for college, my mother suggested I consider librarianship. But I dismissed this sage advice, not realizing that my longstanding bookworm status could indeed lead to a career path. Lesson learned, mom does know best!”
Kelly Coyle Crivelli is a Library Marketing Manager at Random House, Inc. She started her career at Random House back in 1998 when the library marketing “team” consisted of only two people and there was not yet such a thing as a blog! And after nearly a decade away, she returned to Random House and is very happy to be reunited with the incredible titles and authors that Random House offers, having missed them very much over the years. Kelly will read just about anything- but has a particular fondness for books about Russia, books with old people in them and a book that will simply make her cry. And of course, finds nothing as enjoyable as the way Jane Austen can depict a character!
Krista Rupe is a Library Marketing Coordinator at Random House, Inc. She was the girl who had a hard time waiting each year for the Summer Reading Club at her local library to start. Her experience with book marketing began when she worked for ElectricArtists developing online campaigns for best-selling young adult titles for Random House and other major publishers. During her time there she helped launch BookDivas.com. After this, she spent many years at the Gilder Lehrman Collection at the New-York Historical Society creating exhibits from their library of American documents and helping scholars in their research. She joined Random House in 2010 in the eBooks Department. She believes strongly in the power of libraries within their communities and always embraces any opportunity to visit a new library.
