Last night the 2017 Emmy Awards were given out to the best and brightest in television. Some of this year’s biggest winners got their start as books including The Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood, the adaption of which won Best Drama Series, Best Lead Actress in a Drama Series (Elizabeth Moss as Offred), Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series (Ann Dowd as Aunt Lydia), and Best Guest Actress in a Drama Series (Alexis Bledel as Ofglen), and Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty, the adaption of which won Best Limited Series, Best Lead Actress in a Limited Series (Nicole Kidman as Celeste Wright), Best Supporting Actress in a Limited Series (Laura Dern as Renata Klein), and Best Supporting Actor in a Limited Series (Alexander Skarsgård as Perry Wright).
