Sponsored by Penguin Random House Library Marketing and Books On Tape, the “Put Yourself in an Unshelved Comic Strip” Contest is a chance to have your character come to life. To enter, simply fill out this form and tell us three character traits that would make you a great addition to an Unshelved comic. (Please note, this contest is for librarians or library staff only.)
Wondering who your potential “comic self” could be socializing with? Click here to meet Unshelved’s existing cast of riotously funny regulars, from Dewey, the teen services librarian, to Colleen, the old school reference librarian, and lots of colorful characters in between.
Here are Unshelved’s rules the winner must agree to:
1. We will be creating an Unshelved character with your likeness and certain shared personality characteristics. This character is purely fiction, and is not meant to be or represent you. As such you agree that nothing this character says or does, now or in the future, will reflect on you.
2. We may feature this character again in the future.
3. If you don’t like the character or resultant comic strips in any way, we are not obligated to change them.
4. You waive all claims on our use of your likeness and personality characteristics in this character. You are not entitled to royalties or other income that may derive, directly or indirectly, from our use of this character, now or in the future, in comic strips or merchandise.
Limit one (1) entry per person. Contest ends at 11:59 PST, Tuesday, March 31, 2015. Winner will be asked to submit a photo.
