In January 2005, Curtis Sittenfeld burst onto the scene with her debut novel, Prep—an insightful, achingly funny coming-of-age story as well as a brilliant dissection of class, race, and gender in a hothouse of adolescent angst and ambition. Her novel, about fourteen-year-old Lee Fiora, became the Winner of the 2006 New York Public Library Books for the Teen Age, and received glowing praise from literary stars like Dave Eggers, Wally Lamb, and Jennifer Egan.
To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the publication, we’d like to invite you to share Prep with a new generation of readers! Give a copy to a new library staff member, seek out one of your avid teen readers, or hand a copy to an old friend.
