In honor of the publication of Haruki Murakami’s THE STRANGE LIBRARY, we asked librarians to show us: what is the strangest thing in your library? From telephone booths to bathtubs to a Chuckie Santa…you do have some strange items in the stacks! We had a tough time choosing a winner, but we did.
Congratulations to Oberlin Public Library for sharing their dragon head made out of recycled materials, which was made by a local artist. Extra points awarded for getting a photo of their Library Director wearing the dragon head! A full set of Murakami books is headed your way!
Check out our Pinterest board for more Strange Library submissions from libraries around the country. Even though the contest is over, feel free to send us your “strange” photos at email@example.com. We’ll add them to our board!
