On May 30th, Seth MacFarlane takes us back to the wild, wild west, with his film A Million Ways to Die in the West. It’s a true homage to the traditional western with a modern comedic spin. And, as with his comedic creations Ted and Family Guy, audiences will again be laughing delightfully all the way.
MacFarlene takes on many roles in this production as he directs, produces, co-writes, and plays the lead role of a cowardly sheep farmer, Albert.
After Albert backs out of a gunfight, his fickle, gold digger girlfriend Louise (Amanda Seyfried) leaves him for another man (Neil Patrick Harris). When a mysterious and beautiful woman named Anna (Charlize Theron) rides into town, she helps him find his courage and they begin to fall in love. But when her husband (Liam Neeson), a notorious outlaw arrives seeking revenge, Albert must put his newfound courage to the test. (The film also stars Giovanni Ribisi and the always entertaining Sarah Silverman.)
If you loved classic western slapsticks like Gunsmoke, Blazing Saddles, and Tombstone this film is a must see.
