As some of you may remember, a few months back we held a contest to win a special visit from Alexander McCall Smith during his next tour. To enter, a library had to create a holiday display celebrating the works of the beloved author of the No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency series. It was a tough competition and there were so many great displays submitted that we felt a need to showcase more entries. We have created an Alexander McCall Smith Pinterest board to share some of these great displays with you, and to perhaps give you some ideas of your own!

I’m a fan and a librarian too, really loved these displays. We may even steal a few ideas for our own library in Red Bank, NJ. The displays feature his Detective Agency series; it would be fun to think of a display focused on the books set in Edinburgh.
