A long time ago, Veronica Mars and I, used to be friends.
I’d tune in, she’d do her amazing sleuthing and the day would be saved. In fact, lots of fans loved Veronica and her unpredictable ways. The show was so highly praised that Entertainment Weekly called Veronica Mars one of the “Best Cult TV Shows from the Past 25 Years.” So when it went off air, there was a little yearning for a a kickass lady detective left in all of our hearts.
The good news I have for you today is that Vintage Books has exciting news of a major new book acquisition, VERONICA MARS: The First Book in an Original Mystery Series by Rob Thomas and Jennifer Graham, on sale February 4, 2014. Featuring characters from the immensely popular TV series of the same name, this stand-alone novel will contain a completely new story.
Alloy Entertainment, a division of Warner Brothers, will release the film Veronica Mars in late January, 2014. It is directed by Rob Thomas, creator of the TV series and co-author of this novel. Many of the original TV series cast members appear in the film in their original roles, including Kristen Bell as Veronica. There is a great story of how fans helped fund the film through Kickstarter.
The books will pick up with twenty-eight-year-old Veronica Mars getting back in the game after the events of Veronica Mars: The Movie. With the help of old friends—Logan Echolls, Mac Mackenzie, Wallace Fennel, and even Dick Casablancas—Veronica is ready to take on Neptune’s darkest cases with her trademark sass and smarts.
These movie and book series sounds excellent and I can’t wait to see and read of Veronica’s adventures again.
Praise for Veronica Mars, the TV series:

“Best. Show. Ever…. It’s the Harry Potter of shows.” – Joss Whedon, creator of Buffy and writer/director of Marvel’s Avengers
