Breaking News: Dreamy and acclaimed actor/director Ben Affleck has been named to star in Gone Girl. Bestselling author Gillian Flynn wrote the Gone Girl screenplay that Girl with the Dragon Tattoo director David Fincher is further adapting for the big screen. The twisted story of suspense is sure to transition smoothly into a blockbuster thriller.
Affleck is to play Nick Dunne, a husband whose wife disappears on the day of their fifth anniversary, and all roads point to him as the killer. Amy’s diary reveals turmoil over their marriage, strange sicknesses, and her deep wish to be a mother—but is she telling the whole story? As the evidence slowly mounts, and the cops’ investigation deepens, Nick is incriminated in horrible ways. Reese Witherspoon will serve as the film’s producer and was originally slated to also play the lead actress role of Amy Dunne. However, that has not been confirmed and there are several additional leading ladies be considered for the role including Rosamund Pike, Charlize Theron, Natalie Portman, and Emily Blunt.
