Twilight, Vampire Diaries, True Blood. These latest vampire dramas still can’t hold a candle to my first obsession, Buffy the Vampire Slayer. The unrequited love affair with Angel can still make my heart stop. And don’t you dare even mention Spike’s name to me.
And the most significant character these wannabe vampire franchises are missing is a librarian! Buffy’s Watcher, Giles, was an attractive and adventurous librarian, sure to inspire many hearts to flutter. And let’s not forget the British accent, just to seal the deal.
