The third and final installment in the Pride and Prejudice and Zombies trilogy, Dreadfully Ever After, releases on March 22nd!
“This is a must-read for the growing legion of alternate-Austen fans (including, naturally, everyone who has read Pride and Prejudice and Zombies).” –Booklist
As an avid Jane Austen fan- who has read just about everything that has anything to do with Miss Austen- I was at first hesitant with this series- I mean, how dare they, right?!
But, I gave it a chance- and was soon flattered that they felt Pride and Prejudice as a backdrop, and Jane Austen herself could create a gorey mash-up story about zombies, romance and even decapitation!
Besides, more of Fitzwilliam Darcy and Elizabeth Bennett, is always a good thing! And even though there is more cannibalism, gore and beheading then the afternoon tea and pianoforte that we are used to in the original setting of Rosings- there is also more suspense.
Their love is challenged in Dreadfully Ever After way more than it is in the original version, when all they had to worry about was a bad reputation- now they have an actual problem… LIzzy needs to find a cure for Darcy post-haste before he becomes an undead horror, after he was attacked and bitten by a dreadful boy!
Can Lizzy get to London in time for the cure- will Darcy survive??
Complete with romance, heartbreak, martial arts, cannibalism, and an army of shambling corpses, Dreadfully Ever After brings the story of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies to a thrilling conclusion.
