Our friend Terry Young shared this wonderful tribute to librarian and beloved children’s book author Coleen Salley. She passed away two years ago, leaving behind many friends in the library and publishing world. Her children came up with the perfect way to honor their mom’s memory–by putting a bench in City Park’s Storyland featuring Coleen as “Mama” along with her naughty baby Epposumondas. Above is a picture of them with Terry and illustrator Janet Stevens.
